The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society seeks to foster a new generation of environmental stewards by advocating for public land, ocean, and freshwater.

We've worked with the Southern Alberta Chapter of CPAWS and their dedicated team on several projects throughout the years — building their outreach, developing campaigns, and creating educative assets for teachers, adults, and kids.

Brand Development

We created a new style guide and illustrative toolbox for Southern Alberta Chapter’s various materials. We set out to build an identity that felt reminiscent of old camping gear, fleece pullovers, and bright backpacks, one that bridged the gap between an older and newer generation of individuals who love the outdoors in Alberta.

The Bighorn

Southern and Northern AB chapters worked together on a campaign to protect the missing piece between two iconic Rocky Mountain National Parks: Banff and Jasper. Wedged between the two is the Bighorn, a wild and scenic area under pressure from industry and human abuse. We used bold, bright print advertising, student engagement and social ads to spread public awareness and participation.

Climate Kit

CPAWS came to us wanting to engage young folks and families in becoming aware of what they can do about climate change in an uplifting way. Our solution came in the form of small tote bags filled with actionable items that could fit within their day-to-day. The bag included a folder with an illustrative colour-in infographic, a fridge magnet bingo game, a list of local resources, an at-home check-list, reading material about direct action in Alberta, and a packet of native carbon-sequestering seeds.

CAMP X CPAWS Collaboration

We arranged a collaboration between CPAWS and Camp Brand Goods to raise funds for protecting wild places. The line included sweatshirts, tees, hats, and sticker packs. The playful and approachable aesthetic of the designs spoke to both parties established brands while still conveying the importance of conservation work.

Forest Steward Handbook

A series of booklets that make dense scientific information about the shortcomings of forestry in Alberta accessible and easy to understand. The three booklets are contained in a folder letterpressed by Feast Studio & Letterpress.

Climate Game Changers

CPAWS education department was looking to create a learning tool for students, teachers, and parents to explore the various aspects of climate change. We conceptualized an interactive website and worked with iNet Media to bring it to life. We illustrated and animated the pages making navigating the information fun and engaging rather than overwhelming.
